As a staff, we agreed that students would be allowed to dress up and celebrate Halloween in a positive way while at school.

Several suggestions have been made for parents to consider when planning for these festivities.
Keep costumes simple (over clothes type) so privacy is not needed to change.
No offensive or inappropriate costumes. Please select a costume that does not support violence.
Students will not be able to wear Halloween masks or come to school with face paint or glitter. You must be able to sit, walk, see and hear. (example: no masks that cover the face, glitter or face paint) If a student’s costume requires a mask, they will only be able to wear it during the party.
Pretend blood or play weapons will not be allowed (no pretend “prop” weapons such as water pistols, knives or swords).
No bare midriffs or “revealing” clothing.
Wear safe walking shoes. (i.e. no high heels, spikes)
